Okay, I just had to blog about these kids.

So I was at my friend Casey's place the other day, finally working on editing the Ten Second Epic interview which we recorded weeks ago. So we were talking about our plans for the summer and music festivals etc (she's heading down to Tennessee for Bonaroo...I AM SO JEALOUS) and then we started browsing Youtube for festival acts and randomly came across an interview with these two kids from Brooklyn, New York that were in a band called Tiny Masters of Today. The oldest couldn't have been more than 13 years old and the music they were making was pretty damn good, so naturally Casey and I were like.. WTF?!?!!!

So I looked these kids up and sure enough, they started out as a sibling duo (they have since become a trio), the eldest is currently 15. They got their start on Myspace back in 2005 and have garnered accolades by the likes of David Bowie, Kimya Dawson and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs as the future of rock and roll. They have put out two EP's, Big Noise and KIDS, both of which sold out immediately upon release. They have become a European sensation, touring overseas extensively and have even become permanent fixtures on the festival circuit, playing both SXSW and Lollapalooza among others.

I don't know much about the band or the extent of their musical and writing abilities, but the mere fact that they are so young and clearly talented is quite impressive.

Check out their brand new video: "Skeletons"
